More visiting

I know it has been longer than I like between posts but I have a good reason: I'm re-reading the Harry Potter books and I have been unable to pull myself away from them long enough to post. Okay, some of you may not think it is a good reason but it's my story and I'm stickin to it. Anyway, Bert, Wyatt, Hawk and I traveled to see my parents over the Fourth of July weekend. While we were there so were my cousins Sally, Mara and Josh with their spouses and children. Sam, Sally's son, turned 1 on July 5th so we had to go over and wish him a happy birthday. Then there was also Josh's son who is only 3 weeks older than Wyatt so it was fun getting those two together. And while we were visiting them Mara, and her husband Mike, announced that they are expecting a child in Feb. 2009!! So many babies! Josh and his wife Debora also informed us that they were going to transfered to Germany by the end of the year and will be there for 2-5 years! They are really excited about it!

Now back to my parent's hobby farm. My parents have an array of animals residing at their place. Among them are 5 goats (to help keep the grass/weeds down). They have one male goat who is very friendly so Wyatt got to meet him. At first Wyatt didn't know what to think but then decided that he might be fun to pet. It was really pretty cute.

Wyatt has been eating "solid" food now for a couple 2-3 weeks. I thought I would start him on some vegetables so I chose sweet potatoes to start with and he loves those. Then tonight I had him try green beans. Those he doesn't love so much yet. I think most of what I gave him ended up on his chest or hands because it didn't seem like much was staying in his mouth. Oh well, I figured that would happen. I'll just have to keep trying.

Congratulations again Mara and Mike on the news of your pregnancy!

Wyatt and his (2nd) Cousin Thomas.
They both like standing but Thomas is better at it than Wyatt.

The boys (and their parents) had fun messing around with bubbles.

I'm not so sure about this goat, grandpa.

Maybe he is all right.
