Cause and Effect

I don't know when babies are supposed to learn cause and effect but watching Wyatt on his play mat I have to think that he knows something about cause and effect already. The film clip that I have posted today may seem very similar to the one I posted a couple days ago. Again he is on his mat but it better depicts him kicking the post to get the toys to move. Granted I have to have him placed so his feet can hit one of the posts since he is unable to move himself into position yet. Also, when he was playing on it I noticed that he was noticing the other toys hanging down as well instead of just the musical "lion" in the center.

Bert and I have also noticed that Wyatt has started mimicking us a little bit. Today Bert was holding him and stuck his tongue out at Wyatt. Wyatt then, in direct response, stuck his tongue out at Bert. It was very exciting and Wyatt did it a number of times.
